5.6.2023 Press release
Paulig is taking a firm stand for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in the workplace by launching its new global DEI policy. The company aims to cultivate a diverse and inclusive work environment that supports their most valuable asset, their employees. Paulig is also endorsing LGBTIQ+ rights with its partnerships with the international NGO Workplace Pride and Helsinki Pride.

Paulig has introduced a group-wide policy for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), covering all of its workplaces in 13 countries. The DEI policy strengthens Paulig's commitment to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace. An inclusive company culture, where everyone feels accepted as they are and that they belong, is an imperative for sustainable, ethical growth. That’s why the existing DEI policy already includes the use of mandatory anti-harassment training and inclusive language guidelines. Paulig's commitment to DEI is part of its Sustainability Approach 2030, which includes a commitment to a fair and inclusive way of working throughout the company's value chain.

This policy sets clear behavioural expectations, ensuring that all Paulig employees contribute to a culture of acceptance and mutual respect. Our employees are the most vital ingredient for our future, and we know that they thrive best when they feel accepted and valued. By reflecting the world we operate in, a diverse workforce enables us to better understand our markets," says Anu Pires, SVP Human Resources at Paulig.

In line with the company's commitment to DEI, this year Paulig has partnered with Workplace Pride, a Dutch non-profit foundation focused on LGBTIQ+ inclusion in the workplace. This international collaboration reinforces Paulig’s commitment to promote the rights of LGBTIQ+ employees across all countries Paulig operates in. As a member of this foundation, Paulig has even better resources to root the DEI policy to all levels of the organisation.

In addition, Paulig has been a partner of Helsinki Pride for three consecutive years. Helsinki Pride, a non-governmental organisation, promotes human rights and equality regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.

The new DEI policy and partnerships will further strengthen Paulig’s Employer Brand as an equal and inclusive employer. The policy propels us to continue developing our values-driven company culture even further and thus supports us in building the company’s future as one of the fastest growing food and beverage companies in Europe and a sustainable frontrunner in the industry,” Pires concludes.
